ONE NAMIBIA ONE ECONOMY FOUNDATION
First lady Madame Monica Geingos, launched her non−profit One Economy Foundation in 2015. Its vision is to contribute towards social reform in Namibia. Burmeister & Partners donated N$200 000 in 2016 towards funding the activities of the Foundation. We further pledged 500 pro bono professional engineering hours, to the value of N$500 000, per year for the following 5 years.
OEWONA
OEWONA is a welfare organization launched in 2005, by the founder member Madam Penehupifo Pohamba, the former First Lady of the Republic of Namibia. Its aim is to empower, render assistance and provide support to widows, widowers and orphans of HIV/AIDS, and other vulnerable groups in our society. Burmeister & Partners donated N$305,000.00 in 2010 towards funding the activities of the Trust.
CHRIST DISCIPLES FELLOWSHIP / SHALOM CENTRE
This centre provides day-care facilities as well as financial assistance for the schooling of AIDS orphans, homeless and other vulnerable children. Burmeister & Partners staff served on the fundraising committee to assist in funding the centre's various projects.
REHOBOTH COMMUNITY TRUST GREEN SCHEME
Burmeister & Partners donated N$ 25 000 towards the establishment of the Rehoboth Community Trust’s Greenhouses for the intensive cultivation of vegetables. Additionally, over 50 hours of professional engineering hour inputs were provided pro bono to the project.
CHRISTINA SWART-OPPERMAN AIDS ORPHAN FOUNDATION TRUST
The vision of the Trust is to contribute towards social reform in Namibia by specifically addressing the needs of children affected by HIV/AIDS. Burmeister & Partners donated N$16,250 towards this Trust.
WITVLEI STREET KIDS ORPHANAGE
Burmeister & Partners were responsible for the draughting of plans and preparation of specifications for the construction of the building.
MULTI-PURPOSE CARE CENTRE IN KATUTURA
Burmeister & Partners provided pro bono professional services in the redesign of a building in Katutura. The centre provides classrooms, recreational facilities and kitchens where homeless children and other vulnerable children are cared for.
OMEYA PRIVATE SCHOOL FUNDRAISING
As believers in the development of children's minds and bodies, Burmeister & Partners donated cash to the Fundraiser in 2020 which will be used to purchase sport & recreational equipment for the learners.
