SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Burmeister and Partners (Pty) Ltd is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary consulting engineering team in Windhoek.
This role will involve leading the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects, ensuring high-quality solutions across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Detailed engineering designs and analyses
- Prepare and review detailed designs, specifications, drawings, and technical reports
- Preparing reports and drawing up tender documentation
- Overseeing and supervising the installation of mechanical contracts incl. attending of site visits
- Liaising closely with other professionals and contractors
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and statutory requirements
Prerequisites:
- BSc/BEng or BTech in Mechanical Engineering
- Registered or eligible for registration with ECN/ECSA as a Professional or Incorporated Engineer
- Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience in building services
- Valid Driver’s License
Technical Competency:
- Microsoft Office or equivalent
- Microsoft Project or equivalent
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (AutoCAD & Revit MEP)
Personal Attributes:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Capability to perform under pressure
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced design environment
