Burmeister & Partners is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Junior Electrical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary consulting engineering team. 

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the design and delivery of electrical building services and infrastructure projects while working alongside experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and development of electrical engineering designs

• Prepare electrical drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports

• Assist with the preparation of tender documentation, bills of quantities, and cost estimates

• Conduct site inspections and support contract administration

• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and multi-disciplinary project teams

• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, and statutory requirements

Burmeister & Partners is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, coordination, and execution of electrical engineering projects across the commercial, industrial, healthcare, and infrastructure sectors.

The successful candidate will play a key role in project delivery, client engagement, technical leadership, and the development of junior engineering staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering projects from concept design through to construction and project close-out

• Prepare and review electrical designs, specifications, drawings, and technical reports

• Oversee tender documentation, bills of quantities, and contract administration

• Conduct site inspections and oversee electrical installations to ensure quality and compliance

• Coordinate project activities with clients, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams

• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, industry standards, and statutory requirements

• Mentor and develop junior engineers

Minimum Requirements

• B.Sc./B.Eng./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

• Professional Registration with ECN/ECSA (or eligible for registration)

• Minimum 7 years' relevant experience in electrical engineering consulting

• Valid driver's licence
