SHORT DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

The Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry wishes to construct an irrigation scheme in the vicinity of Noordoewer at the Orange River. The irrigation scheme consists of 12 individual 80 ha farms. Each farm is sub-divided into 10 small scale farm areas of 4 ha each and one medium scale farm of 40 ha. In addition to this each farm consists of a residential village to house the farmers. Two residential extensions and one Agricultural village are also included in the project.

The design for the various infrastructures was sub-divided among different consultants.

SERVICES PROVIDED

• Detail design and documentation of gravel roads, landing strip, raw water reticulation and potable water treatment
• Assist in the compilation of project specifications for roads and raw water reticulation
• Compile complete tender documents for potable water treatment
• Conduct tender evaluation for potable water treatment
