SHORT DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

Design of 33kV main feeder distribution network (± 70km), low voltage ABC networks inside villages, prepaid metering and vending systems, project managers on demining cross-border (Namibia-Angola) project.

The project entails the supply of power from the Namibian side to villages in Souther Angola, viz Chitado, Calueque and Naulila. The MV network design includes an H.L.P.C.D. “Rabbit” overhead line with aoto-reclosers, distribution transformers, LV ABC overhead networks inside the villages, approximately 200 service connections and 3 pre-payment meter vending systems. An interesting aspect was that we planned and managed the removal of landmines and unexploded ordinances along the MV line servitude.
