SHORT DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

The design of 33kV supply networks, low voltage ABC distribution networks and pre-payment metering and vending systems, service connections for rural villages as part of the Ministry of Rural Electrification programme.

The project involved GPS mapping of the villages, MV and ABC network layouts, transformer sizing and selection, loadflow and short circuit calculations, network simulation on Reticmaster, standard and detail materials, specifications and tender documents, liason with Nampower as well as the Omaheke Regional Council, training of the village community on pre-payment electricity.
