SHORT DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

FEASIBILITY STUDY AND BUSINESS PLAN INTO THE DEVELOPMENT OF A BUSINESS PARK AT OKONGO, NORTHERN NAMIBIA

The village of Okongo is situated on the MR110 main road between Oshikango and Rundu. The development of the local economy is impeded by the lack of facilities such as banks and retailing. The Client has identified this opportunity to make a significant social investment towards the development of the economy of the Okongo village through the development of a Business Park that will accommodate a full range of facilities considered to be essential. The study was conducted in two parts with the first being a site visit at which time Okongo was visited to meet the Village Development Committee (VDC) and other relevant stakeholders and officials. The second stage entailed a desk study to investigate issues raised and identified during the site visit, as well as to identify and investigate new issues that would be relevant to the development of the proposed Park. The study was concluded with a consolidated report.
