SHORT
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
The
full town layout with the civil and electrical services was designed
for the entire development. Construction started in April 2002 and took
place in phases.
Phase 1 entailed the construction of the services to 86 of the 471 stands.
Phase 2 and additional 34 stands that are allocated for higher standard
houses. The balance of the stands will be serviced as the need arises,
this will be determined during the marketing period of the first two
phases.
The project
entailed the design and construction of:

200m of stormwater pipes

200m of water reticulation pipe of varying diameter

Service
ducts at various positions for future services

400m of overhead power cables

mini substations and kiosks at various places

Laying
of 5 000m of kerbs

Ancillary
drainage structures such as catchpits, connections chambers, and
culvert structures. Also included in the works are two major pre-cast
box culverts, a single 2100x2100 culvert during Phase 1 and a double
900x900 at a later stage.

The
management of the marketing effort of the houses with the Mozal
employees supervision on the house construction.
