SHORT DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

The Epacha Game Lodge and Health Spa is located on a 13 000 Ha game farm on the southern border of the Etosha Game Reserve. This Main Complex of the lodge will consist of various facilities, including a Restaurant and Conference room, curio shop, library, large pool deck with a pool almost large enough for an Olympic gala, and of course, the spa. The spa facilities will include a sauna, steam room, mud bath's, open massage room and a hair dresser, to name only a few.

Accommodation will be provided in 18 luxury chalets and one VIP-suite. It was initially estimated that this lodge would set the 30, mostly Belgium, investors back by about N$20mil.

Construction started in January 2002, and should be finished by the End of September 2002, provided that the contractor, Vermeydu Building, keeps up with the tight schedule.

SERVICES PROVIDED

  • Civil (stormwater, waste water and sewerage reticulation)
  • Structural (design, detailing and supervision)
  • Complete electrical layout design which include lighting, power to all pumps and services and emergency power
  • Supervision on the 37km 22kV feeder line and lightning protection installation
  • Mechanical: Sewer pumping stations, Fire fighting pump system
  • Water supply system incl. water treatment & borehole installation
  • Air conditioning and ventilation incl. kitchen canopy
