INFORMATION ON OUR CORPORATE SOCIAL INVESTMENT
We realise the importance of investing in our community and its people. To literally "put our money where our mouths are", we are regularly involved in a number of projects in which we provide sponsorships, donations or services free of charge. Some of these include:
ONE NAMIBIA ONE ECONOMY FOUNDATION
First lady Monica Geingos launched her One Economy Foundation on 14 May 2015. The Foundation was established as a Section 21 non−profit organization. The vision of the trust is to contribute towards social reform in Namibia. Our firm donated N$200 000 in cash in 2016 as a corporate social responsibility contribution to fund the activities of the Foundation. In addition to this, we also pledged 500 free professional engineering hours, to the value of N$500 000, per year for the next five years.
Oewona (Organization for the Empowerment of Widows/Widowers and Orphans of HIV/AIDS in Namibia) is a welfare organization registered with the Ministry of Health and Social Services. The organization was officially launched in 2005, by Madam Penehupifo Pohamba, the former First Lady of the Republic of Namibia, who is the founder member and the Patron of the organization. The aim of this organization is to empower, render assistance and provide support to widows, widowers and orphans of HIV/AIDS, and other vulnerable groups in our society. We donated N$305,000.00 in cash in 2010 as a corporate social responsibility contribution to fund the activities of the OEWONA Trust.
CHRISTINA SWART-OPPERMAN AIDS ORPHAN FOUNDATION TRUST
The vision of the trust is to contribute towards social reform in Namibia by specifically addressing the needs of children affected by HIV/AIDS. Our firm has donated towards this Trust.

Burmeister & Partners (Pty) Ltd.’s personnel serve as leaders of the fundraising committee to assist in funding the centre's various projects.

We were responsible for the draughting of plans and drawing up of specifications for the construction of the building.
MULTI-PURPOSE CARE CENTRE IN KATUTURA
Our firm provided its professional services in the redesign of a building in Katutura. The centre provides classrooms, recreational facilities and kitchens where street children and other disadvantaged children are cared for.
OMEYA PRIVATE SCHOOL FUNDRAISING
The Omeya Private School hosts its annual Golf Day in April 2020. As believers in the development of children's minds and bodies, our firm has pledged a sponsorship towards the proceeds which will be used to purchase sport/recreational equipment for the children.
