SHORT DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

The project comprises the development of a self-sustainable, fully operational fish farm. Forming part of the initial planning, a feasibility study, fish species analysis and conceptual design was done. Subsequently, a pilot scheme was designed, developed and successfully commissioned with the following operational parameters:

• black tilapia imported from Canada
• production capacity of 20 ton per month
• unprocessed product for the local market in Luanda
• water pumped from Kwanza river
