SHORT DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

Ministry of Trade and Industry appointed Burmeister and Partners Consulting Engineers to evaluate the potential for the development of an Agro Food Processing Cluster in Namibia. The Consultant was tasked to prepare a feasibility study and business plan.

SERVICES PROVIDED

• Identify and define the development initiative and beneficiaries affected by the project
• Identify other interventions or priorities of ministries, agencies, parastatals etc. affected by or involved in the proposed project
• Source information from previous studies relevant to the proposed project and a review of available literature
• Desk Top Study
• Investigative visit to Italy
• Determine the most suitable location for an Agro-Food Incubation Centre in the study area
• Identify possible site(s) in the chosen location.
